A storm is coming. One elephant faces the storm. One elephant runs from both the storm and friend. Oblivion: the state of being completely forgotten. To me, the elephant facing the storm is facing oblivion, and the other is not only actively trying to run from the fear of being forgotten (or the fear of death perhaps) but is also, in his need to get away is the one who is doing the forgetting. Is it better to face what is ahead and risk it all? By running, we perhaps turn our backs not only on our fears but on the very people who make this life what it is and essentially prevent our own oblivion.
