Junior Kids Art Class

Focus of class:

This class is all about having fun with experimental art play. The focus will be on mixing colours, experimenting with a variety of materials including sculpture building, trying new paint tools (traditional and non traditional) and includes a new crafty art activity each week that vary from traditional painting, to crafty sculpture. 

An important focus of our classes is mindfulness and looking at what it means to be creative and an “artist”. Students will focus on channeling their emotions and creativity into their work. With guidance and encouragement, they will work independently on the work that inspires them. The classes are divided up with time to work on skills together by following along with the teacher (kind of like paint nites for kids!) and having time for students to gain confidence by applying their own independent, creative intuition.

For those students who have taken this class before, you are welcomed and encouraged to take the class again. Although there will be some repetition on techniques, the activities and paintings will be different and therefore, still enjoyable for everyone as well as great continued practice.

All Materials. Each class will include various arts and crafts activities and all of these supplies will be provided as needed.
